๐ŸŽฒ Random Options

Random Options are bonus stats that can appear on equipment when you obtain it from crafting NPCs or monster drops. Each piece of gear has a chance to roll 0 to several random bonuses, making every drop potentially unique.

How It Works

When you receive equipment from supported sources:

  1. Slot Roll - Each equipment type has a maximum number of option slots. Each slot has a 41% chance to roll anything at all.
  2. Option Selection - An activated slot picks its tier and bonus together: 30% Common / 10% Uncommon / 1% Rare (out of every slot rolled โ€” the remaining 59% comes up empty).
  3. Value Roll - Each bonus rolls a value within its defined range.

Most items will have 0-1 options. Getting 2+ options is uncommon, and a Rare-tier bonus is a genuine standout. This keeps random gear below the power level of Unique items.

Equipment Type Max Options
Headgear 3
Body Armor 4
Weapon 4
Footgear 2
Accessory 3
Garment 2
Shield 2

Rarity Tiers

Options are organized into three tiers. These are the absolute odds per slot (including the chance the slot rolls nothing at all):

Outcome Chance Description
Nothing ~59% Slot stays empty
Common ~30% Basic stat bonuses with modest values
Uncommon ~10% Better stats with improved values
Rare ~1% Premium bonuses like ASPD, % damage reduction
Legendary ~0.1% A rare independent bonus rolled on top of the normal options above โ€” doesn't cost you a Common/Uncommon/Rare slot

Rare-drop announcements (the server-wide gold broadcast and Discord feed) call out an item's rolled tier and option count, e.g. "Opt2 Rare Sword" โ€” so a Rare callout really does mean you got the ~1%-per-slot roll. A Legendary callout (e.g. "Opt4 Legendary Sword") is the rarest of all โ€” about 1 in 1000 โ€” and means the item picked up its bonus independently of its normal rolls.

Comparing to Other Item Tiers

Random Options provide a stepping stone in gear progression:

Item Tier Options Power Level
Regular Equipment 0 Baseline
Random Options 0-2 avg Slight boost
+ Legendary (~1 in 1000) +1, on top of the above Standout, but still one bonus stat
Unique Items 4-5 Premium

Random Options make farming and crafting more exciting by adding the chance for better-than-average gear, while preserving Unique items as the top tier.

Sources

Equipment can roll Random Options from:

  • Crafting NPCs - Items created through quest NPCs
  • Shop Purchases - Select equipment bought from NPC shops
  • Monster Drops - Any weapon or armor dropped by a monster, including MVPs and stolen items, has a chance to roll bonuses โ€” no different from gear you'd buy or craft

Coverage is automatic for monster drops - every equipment drop gets the same odds as shop-bought gear of its type. There's no list of "supported" mobs; it applies server-wide.

Tips

  • Check your drops - Use Alt+Q or right-click to view item properties and see any Random Options
  • Farm for upgrades - Even common equipment can roll lucky bonuses
  • Card slots remain - Random Options are separate from card slots
  • Options are permanent - Once rolled, the options on an item cannot be changed
