The Veil Peddler
The Veil Peddler stands near the Prontera savepoint (153, 189), beside the Pumpkin Hunter and the Veil Brewer. He trades Halloween Candy for Halloween items. The Candy comes from:
| Source | Candy |
|---|---|
| Pumpkin Hunt (@pumpkins) | 2 a pumpkin, up to 10 pumpkins a day |
| Haunted Siege (@siege) | 5 a siege, up to 4 a day; 25 more at an October 31 finale |
| Any monster you kill, siege monsters included | 1% a kill (3% in a finale) |
| The Wandering ghosts in the major towns | 3% a kill, up to 20 a day of the kill Candy |
| The Guild Houses prize | 5 after the event |
Kill Candy needs you to be playing (not on Auto Attack, not idle), and comes to at most 100 a day for each account and each computer. The ordinary monsters on the three siege fields and the Boss Hour map drop none: those maps pay their own way.
Open: October 22 to November 14 (UTC), a week longer than the event, so the Candy from the Veil Keeper's prize can still be spent.
| Item | Candy |
|---|---|
| [C] Halloween Candy Hair (upper headgear) | 120 |
| [C] Halloween Pumpkin (lower headgear, shows when you sit) | 160 |
| [C] Halloween Poring Bag (garment) | 200 |
| [C] Diabolic Friend (garment) | 300 |
| Love Ring (left accessory) | 500 |
| Ring of Hatred (right accessory) | 500 |
| [C] Beelzebub's Wings of Gluttony (garment) | 800 |
| Sealed Veil Relic (opens to one limited-edition Sanctum Relic: a wing, or a helm in 1 of 4) | 1,500 |
- See it before you buy it. Pick an item and the Peddler shows its name as a link (click it to read the item's description and stats). A costume is put on your character at once, so you see how it looks; it wears off when you finish talking. Rings have no look, so only the link shows. The list is green when you can buy it, amber when you are short of Candy, grey when you already bought it.
- One of each for every account. Every item can be bought once per account.
- Every item is tradable, the Sealed Veil Relic too. Costumes carry no stats.
- The Candy is account-bound and can't be traded or dropped.
The rings
| Love Ring | Ring of Hatred | |
|---|---|---|
| Slot | Left accessory | Right accessory |
| Max HP / Max SP | +5% | +5% |
| Physical damage to all sizes | +4% | +4% |
| Magic damage to all sizes | +4% | +4% |
Wear both and your movement speed goes up by 15% (one speed item: it doesn't stack with Sleipnir or a speed potion, see Movement Speed). The rings give no EXP or drop-rate bonus.
Siege prizes
Beside its 5 Candy, every Haunted Siege you are paid for has a 1% chance to drop one of: [C] Halloween Candy Hair, [C] Halloween Pumpkin or [C] Halloween Poring Bag.
The finales on October 31, against Veil Lord Amdarais (13:00 and 19:00 UTC: Asia's and the UK's evenings; one payment a day) pay 25 Candy and roll once more: 4% for [C] Beelzebub's Wings of Gluttony, then 8% for [C] Diabolic Friend.
The roll is part of the siege payment: you must be on one of the three fields, not on Auto Attack and not idle, and each siege pays an account and a computer once. A prize that doesn't fit in your bag comes by mail.
The siege also rolls for the much rarer limited-edition Sanctum Relics.
