Overview
The Macro Check system promotes fair play by periodically verifying that players are actively engaged. After killing a set number of monsters, players must solve a simple math problem. Successful completion grants buffs, while repeated failures result in jail time.
How It Works
Trigger Conditions
| Check Type | Monster Kills Required |
|---|---|
| First Check | 25 monsters |
| Recurring Checks | Every 250 monsters thereafter |
MVP Macro Check
MVP hunters receive additional macro checks to prevent automated MVP farming.
| Setting | Value |
|---|---|
| MVP kills to trigger | 2 MVPs |
| Trigger chance | 90% |
| Reset after normal kills | 2 monsters |
After killing 2 MVPs, you have a 90% chance of receiving a macro check. Killing 2 regular monsters resets your MVP kill counter.
The Challenge
When triggered, a dialog appears with a simple addition problem:
- Numbers range: 1 to 4 (e.g.,
2 + 3 = ?) - Input range: 1-10
- Time limit: 60 seconds
- Attempts: 3 tries per check
During the check, your character cannot move, attack, use skills, use items, or execute commands until you answer correctly or fail.
Rewards for Success
Completing the check grants the following buffs for 6 minutes:
| Buff | Level | Effect |
|---|---|---|
| Increase AGI | 10 | +12 AGI, +30% Movement Speed |
| Blessing | 10 | +10 STR, +10 DEX, +10 INT |
Your character will also perform a dance animation and display a random fun quote.
Failure Penalty
| Condition | Consequence |
|---|---|
| 3 wrong answers | 2 hours jail time |
| Server announcement | Your name is broadcast to all players |
Failing the macro check is publicly announced! Everyone on the server will see that you've been jailed.
Tips
- Pay attention when the dialog appears - it blocks all actions
- The math is simple (maximum answer is 8), so take your time
- Kill count persists when changing maps
- The check is designed to be easy for humans but difficult for bots
Purpose
This system ensures fair gameplay by:
- Detecting automated play - Bots cannot solve the math problem
- Rewarding active players - Buffs incentivize legitimate play
- Maintaining server integrity - Public shaming deters macro use
