Overview
Prestige is the endgame loop beyond the level cap. Once you hit Base Level 255, you can Ascend — reset your climb in exchange for a permanent, escalating reward. Each Prestige stacks, up to Prestige 5.
Talk to any Job Master (in Prontera and most major towns) and choose the Prestige (Ascension) option.
What an Ascension does
When you Prestige:
| Reset | Kept |
|---|---|
| Base Level → 1 | Job class (you stay your class) |
| Job Level → 1 | Stats (STR/AGI/VIT/INT/DEX/LUK) |
| Skills (skill points refunded) | Gear, items, zeny |
You stay strong — your job, stats and equipment are untouched. What changes is that you climb the levels again, and each Prestige makes that climb harder.
The rewards (permanent, every Prestige)
- 🌟 A new aura — a switchable visual effect. Earn one per Prestige and swap between any you've unlocked at the Job Master (Prestige option).
- 🏆 A new title — the Ascendant I–V achievement titles, worn under your name (open with ALT+U).
- ➕ Bonus Trait Points — +10 Trait Points the moment you ascend, and
the same
Prestige × 10bonus is granted again at every monthly Trait Stats reset. A Prestige 5 character starts each month with +50 Trait Points on top of the loyalty bonus. (The trait stat cap is still 110 — Prestige helps you fill it faster, season after season.)
The cost: a re-climb that gets harder
Each Prestige adds a monster Base-EXP penalty that stacks:
| Prestige | Base-EXP penalty |
|---|---|
| 1 | -10% |
| 2 | -20% |
| 3 | -30% |
| 4 | -40% |
| 5 | -50% (cap) |
- The penalty applies only to monster Base EXP. Job EXP and quest EXP are never penalized.
- It is the only thing that makes the re-climb harder — your power (stats, gear, job) carries over, so a higher Prestige is an endurance grind, not a wall.
Tips
- Prestige is optional — it's a flex for players who've "finished" the game.
- You don't lose anything permanent: job, stats and gear stay with you.
- Spend your ascend Trait Points before the month ends so they become permanent trait stats.
- You can switch your active aura any time at the Job Master (Prestige option).
