Overview
Mounting allows certain job classes to ride creatures for increased movement speed. Knights and Crusaders can ride Pecopecos, while their third-class counterparts have access to even more powerful mounts.
Requirements
To mount, you need:
- KN_RIDING Skill (Riding Level 1) - Learned by Knights and Crusaders
- Visit the Universal Rental NPC in Prontera

The Premium Mount Dealer in Prontera (140, 180) rents a mount every class can ride. No item: the rental is on your character.

- Type
@mountanywhere to get on, and again to get off. With no rental running,@mountopens the rental menu instead. - Riding gives +25% movement speed, but you can't attack or use skills while mounted. It's for travel.
@mounthas a 1 second cooldown, and every hit you take restarts it. A rider under attack can't hop off to fight back, and a fighter taking hits can't hop on to run.- Mounts work everywhere, including War of Emperium, battlegrounds and PvP. The risk is being caught in the saddle.
- One rental per character. When it runs out you dismount; rent again at the dealer or with
@mount. - Knights, Lord Knights, Crusaders and Paladins:
@mountstill calls your Peco Peco, as before, with no rental needed.
How to Mount
- Go to Prontera (130, 201)
- Talk to the Universal Rental NPC
- Your mount will be automatically assigned based on your job class:
- Rune Knights receive a Dragon mount
- All other knight-type classes receive a Pecopeco mount
- To dismount, talk to the NPC again while mounted

Tips
- You cannot use skills that require dismounting while mounted
- Some skills receive bonuses or penalties while mounted
- Spear-type weapons deal increased damage while mounted on a Pecopeco
- Rune Knight's Dragon Breath skills are enhanced while on a Dragon mount
