Overview
Every character walks one cell every 150 ms with nothing equipped. Mounts, speed gear, speed potions and skills make each step shorter; slows make it longer. The status window's walk delay is the number below: lower is faster.
How It Works
Speed comes from four kinds of source. Each kind has its own step, and the kinds add together:

- Gear and potions don't stack with each other. Only your best one counts: a Box of Thunder adds nothing while you wear Sleipnir, and a Speed Potion replaces Sleipnir's 20% with its own 40% for 5 seconds.
- Only your best skill counts. Increase AGI and Wind Walk don't add to each other.
- A mount, your best gear or potion and your best skill add together, up to the speed limit.
A Box of Thunder is a short, cheaper step toward Sleipnir for anyone who doesn't own one. A Speed Potion is a 5-second sprint to the speed limit on its own.
The speed limit
Nobody walks faster than 90 ms a cell, 40% faster than the base pace. A Lord Knight or Paladin on a Peco in Sleipnir already reaches it; so does any three kinds of speed together. The slowest anyone walks is 285 ms a cell, so even Curse stops there.
Monsters keep their own speeds: none of the rules on this page change how fast a monster walks.

Auto Attack walks at the same speed as you do.
Tips
- Get one good speed item first: Sleipnir or Greaves of Wisdom, then stop. A second speed item or a potion adds nothing.
- Add a skill: Increase AGI or Wind Walk on top of Sleipnir takes you from 120 to 105.
- Lord Knights and Paladins reach the limit with a Peco and Sleipnir alone; anything more is wasted while riding.
- Speed tooltips and this page state the bonus you actually get.
