Overview
The Dark Force Shades are this autumn's costume line: a pair of [C] Dark Force Shades (Costume Mid) and eight glowing [C] Dark Force Auras (Costume Low), one per colour. The finished coloured Dark Force Shades are one Mid slot: the shades on your face and a street aura on the ground at your feet, neon underglow with wanted stars, spray drips and loose bills. The aura is a hat effect, so the coloured pair is crafted straight from the plain one and the aura items are a separate costume you can wear on their own.
Everything is built from one new hunt item, the 
Dark Force Ember (item id: 32520), plus a rarer 
Dark Force Core (item id: 32521) for the auras, and the 
Autumn Leaves (item id: 20337) you pet out of Tartufi.
The Dark Force lines are only in the Seasonal Quest Staff's shop from September to December. Autumn Leaves only fall September to November, so gather the leaves for your shades before Tartufi leaves town!

World Boss and Devil Square only hand out Embers and Cores during the Dark Force season (September – December).
The Dark Force Wisp
A wisp of dark force drifts into one of eight towns six times a day and sheds Embers to whoever finds it:
- When: at 02:00, 06:00, 10:00, 14:00, 18:00 and 22:00 server time (it can show up to 20 minutes after the hour) and stays for 30 minutes.
- Where: one of Prontera, Geffen, Payon, Alberta, Aldebaran, Izlude, Morroc (ruins) or Comodo. The server announces the real town plus two decoys - you'll have to search!
- Finding it: the first finder is announced server-wide. Click the Wisp and it sheds 1–3 Dark Force Embers into your hands - once per character per appearance.
- It moves: about 30 seconds after being found, the Wisp slips away to a new spot in the same town, so latecomers get another chase.
- Type

Pro tip: keep a Butterfly Wing or a warp handy and check @dfw-info right after the spawn hours - a 5-minute warning is broadcast before the Wisp fades away.

The coloured shades carry their aura as a hat effect, so you no longer craft an aura first: one step from the plain pair. The plain shades are consumed.
If you wear a pair and see no aura, type /effect in game to turn effects back on. The aura is drawn by the effect renderer, so that toggle hides it.

Important Notes
- A full coloured pair costs 60 Embers and 1 Core in total (20 for the shades, 30 for the aura, 10 to fuse) plus 80 Autumn Leaves.
- The plain shades and the aura are consumed when you fuse them - keep a spare aura if you want to wear it on its own.
- The Street Tailor next door sells the matching Street Set bandannas, head wraps and caps all year round.
- Out of season the World Boss chest swaps its Ember/Core slots for a Golden Event Apple, and the Wisp stays hidden.
