The Betting System allows players to place bets on various matches and events such as PvP tournaments, Guild vs Guild matches, and special server events. Winners receive payouts based on the total pool of bets.

⚽ FIFA Betting (June 2026 Update)

New: You can now bet on real-world FIFA futbol/soccer matches! Pick the team you think will win, place your Uber Coins, and cash in if they take the match.

A few things to know about FIFA bets:

  • Betting closes at kick-off. Each FIFA match locks the moment the real game kicks off — once it's started, you can no longer place or change a bet, so get yours in early!
  • Discord announcements. Open FIFA matches are announced in our Discord betting channel (and in-game), with the match name and how long is left before betting closes. Keep an eye on Discord so you never miss kick-off.
  • Claiming your winnings. If your team wins, your reward waits for you at the ZenyBets NPC — head there and choose Claim Rewards to collect (see Claiming Your Winnings below).

Placing a Bet

Reading the Match List

When you open Running Matches, each match is listed with the two sides (for example USA vs Australia) followed by a countdown timer in green:

USA vs Australia (11;10;00)

That timer is the time left before betting closes, shown as hours ; minutes ; seconds. So (11;10;00) means 11 hours, 10 minutes, 0 seconds remain to place your bet.

  • The numbers are separated by semicolons (;), not colons — so 11;10;00 reads as "11h 10m 00s left."
  • For FIFA matches, the countdown runs down to kick-off — when it reaches zero the match shows Closed (in red) and you can no longer bet.
  • Place your bets while the timer is still green!

Payout System

The most important thing to understand: if you win, you always get every Uber Coin you bet back. The losing side is where the prize money comes from — and the server takes a cut of that losing pool before it's shared out.

  • Your original bet is always returned to you when you win
  • The prize pool is only the coins from the losing side — winners' stakes are never taken
  • The server keeps half of the losing pool as the house cut; the other half is split among the winners
  • Winnings are shared proportionally by how many bets you placed on the winning side

Recent update: the house edge was increased — the server now keeps 50% of the losing pool (it used to keep 30%). So winners split a smaller share of the losers' coins than before, but still never lose their own stake when they win.

Example Calculation

Scenario:

  • Losing side: 10 losing bets = a 100 Uber Coin losing pool
  • Winning side: 5 winning bets
  • The server keeps 50% (50 coins); the other 50 Uber Coins are split among the winners

If you placed 1 winning bet:

  • Share of the prize: 50 ÷ 5 = 10 Uber Coins profit
  • Plus your original 10 Uber Coins stake returned
  • Total received: 20 Uber Coins

The 50 coins the server kept are removed from the economy as the house edge.

"If I bet 10 and win, do I get 10 or 5?" 🤔

This trips a lot of people up, so to be crystal clear: you always get your full 10 Uber stake back when you win. The 50% house cut comes only out of the losing side's coins — never out of your own bet.

What you actually receive depends on whether anyone bet against you:

  • Nobody bet on the other side? There's no losing pool to share, so you just get your 10 Ubers back — break even, no profit.
  • Someone bet on the losing side? You get your 10 Ubers back, plus a share of half the losing pool on top.

How the number of winners changes your share

The winners' half of the losing pool is split evenly among everyone who bet on the winning side — so the more people pick the winning team, the smaller each person's slice (you still always keep your own 10 stake).

The table below assumes a 100‑coin losing pool (so 50 coins go to the winners) and everyone placed 1 bet of 10:

Formula: profit per bet = (losing pool ÷ 2) ÷ number of winning bets, and you receive = your 10 stake + profit.

Bottom line: winning never costs you coins. You'll always get at least your stake back. Your winnings go up the more coins are on the losing side, and down the more people share the winning side.

Claiming Your Winnings

Rewards aren't handed out automatically — you collect them yourself from the NPC whenever you're ready.

  • Rewards stay safely waiting for you, so there's no rush — but you must claim them manually; they won't appear in your inventory on their own.
  • Make sure you have enough free weight before claiming, or the NPC will ask you to come back lighter.
  • If a match is cancelled, your bet comes back instead — grab it from the Claim Refunds option.

Betting Limits

Sessions may have configurable limits set by GMs:

Tips

Betting Tips:

  • Check the betting deadline before placing bets - once closed, you cannot bet
  • You can place multiple bets if the session limits allow
  • Bets cannot be cancelled once placed
  • Rewards and refunds must be claimed manually from the NPC
  • Use "Top Betters" menu to track the betting pool

Anti-Cheat Protection

  • Gepard/Unique ID validation may limit bets per PC
  • Account-based bet limits prevent abuse
  • All bets are logged for transparency

Announcements

You won't miss an open match — the server keeps reminding everyone while betting is live:

  • A server-wide announcement goes out the moment a session opens, with the match name and closing time
  • An hourly reminder lists every open match and how long is left to bet on it
  • The same open-match reminders are also posted to the server's Discord betting channel, so you can keep an eye on matches even when you're offline
  • Manually-run matches also get an extra reminder every 30 minutes while betting is open
  • A winner announcement is broadcast to everyone when the match concludes

Because reminders are pulled live from the match list, this also covers matches set up through the website — not just ones a GM starts in-game.

Betting sessions are typically created for:

  • Real-world FIFA futbol/soccer matches (closes at kick-off!)
  • PvP tournaments
  • Guild vs Guild matches
  • Team arena competitions
  • Special server events
  • WoE practice matches
