Surprise! The Sanctum of Relics is open

Surprise release: the Sanctum of Relics is open. Type @sanctum for one hall holding every gear shop on the server - Lord Kaho's Horn, the Azazel set, the Elite A weapons and all three Godly sets, every one of them for plain zeny. Nothing to patch, and the full price list is on the website.

Surprise! The Sanctum of Relics is open

We were going to sit on this one for the next release. We did not sit on it.

The Sanctum of Relics is open: one overgrown library in the Secret Garden holding every gear shop on the server under a single roof, and every shelf in it is priced in plain zeny. No quest chain, no Token grind, no currency you have never farmed, no client patch. Type @sanctum and you are standing in it.

Good to know first

  • Nothing is gated behind a currency any more. Lord Kaho's Horn, the Azazel set, the Elite A weapons and all three Godly sets sit on shelves for zeny.
  • Nothing was taken away. Lord Kaho's Servant still builds the Horn, Azazel still crafts his set for Tokens, the Forsaken Mystic still trades for Seals, and the Badge Exchange still takes Victory Badges. The Sanctum is a second road, and the old routes are still the cheaper ones if you are willing to work for them.
  • The Elite Item and Uber Item shops moved out of the Mall and now stand in the Sanctum with the same stock at the same prices. Their copies on @shop have not moved and have not changed.
  • The Little Devil set is buyable for the first time. It has never had a source on this server. Now it has one.
  • No patch to run. Just log in.

Getting there

  • @sanctum, from anywhere, any time.
  • Or @mall and walk into either of the two portals in the nook at the centre of the hall. No clicking, no dialog box, no menu to scroll. Walk in, you are there.
  • Walking back out: the portal a few cells east of where you land returns you to the Mall.
  • For a limited time the Sanctum Gate stands in Prontera at 160, 184, right beside the savepoint, and warps you straight in. Its last day is 21 November 2026. After that it packs up and @sanctum and the Mall portals carry on exactly as before.

Who stands where

Six keepers, spread across the three lobes of the island so you are not elbowing four other people on one cell.

  • The Pontiff sells nothing at all. He explains the hall and points you at the rest of it.
  • Uber Item — the Uber B tier, 200,000z to 25,000,000z.
  • Elite Item — all 19 Elite A weapons, 60,000,000z each.
  • Keeper of Relics — Lord Kaho's Horn, the Black Helm, the Equality Wings, the Unholy Path wings and the Azazel set.
  • Keeper of Armor — the Boots of Guidance and the five Godly S armors.
  • Keeper of Halos — every Scarlet Angel, Emperor and Little Devil piece.

There are also a few locals who are very obviously not part of the holy theme. They are harmless. Talk to them anyway.

Prices

Keeper of Relics

  • Lord Kaho's Horn — 90,000,000z
  • Deviling Wings — 120,000,000z
  • Traveler Hat, Dragon Helm, Dowry — 130,000,000z each
  • Renove Armor — 140,000,000z
  • Black Helm, Equality Wings — 180,000,000z each
  • Alpha Wings, Omega Wings, Archangel Wings — 180,000,000z each
  • Tannin Armor — 220,000,000z
  • Lilim Armor — 300,000,000z

The Alpha, Omega and Archangel Wings are the Forsaken Mystic's all-five-Seal rewards, and he still trades them. They are 60 stat points apiece and differ only in how they spread them: Alpha leans AGI, INT and LUK, Omega leans STR, VIT and DEX, and Archangel is a flat +10 to everything. His Seven Sins cards stay with him and are not for sale here. Some things you still have to earn.

Keeper of Armor

  • Boots of Guidance — 70,000,000z
  • Hero Plate Armor — 130,000,000z
  • Rally Plate Armor — 190,000,000z
  • Clothes of Brilliance — 260,000,000z
  • Mithril Armor — 340,000,000z
  • Grand Gaiters — 340,000,000z

Keeper of Halos

  • Emperor Shoulders — 80,000,000z
  • Little Devil Tail — 140,000,000z
  • Scarlet Angel Ears — 220,000,000z
  • Emperor Wings — 240,000,000z
  • Little Devil Wings — 240,000,000z
  • Emperor Helm — 280,000,000z
  • Scarlet Angel Wings — 320,000,000z
  • Little Devil Horns — 380,000,000z
  • Scarlet Angel Helm — 480,000,000z

How those numbers were set

Every shelf is ordered on one rule: within a slot, nothing costs less than something it outclasses. There is no bargain hiding at the bottom of a list and no trap at the top. If one item costs more than another in the same slot, it is because it is stronger at the ceiling of what it can reach.

  • Items are priced on their maxed configuration, not on how they read alone. A Godly armor's real worth is what it hands a helm, not its own DEF line. Grand Gaiters give the Little Devil Horns +85 ATK where the Hero Plate gives them +45, which is why one is 340m and the other is 130m.
  • Where two items share a price, neither of them beats the other. Mithril is the best partner for a Scarlet or Emperor helm and Grand Gaiters for the horns, so the choice is which set you are building, not which one saves you ten million.
  • Every other step is at least 30,000,000z, and most are far wider than that. Paying up is a decision, not a rounding error.
  • The three Azazel hats cost more than the Horn despite being weaker on their own, because each one is the key to its armor. Without the matching hat, a Renove, Tannin or Lilim is DEF 7 and nothing else.
  • A full three-piece set plus boots runs 1,170,000,000z to 1,430,000,000z, whichever of the three you chase.

Buy the boots first

This is the one thing to get right, so we will say it loudly. The five Godly S armors only give most of what they are worth — +10 MDEF, and +25% to +30% MaxHP and MaxSP — while you are wearing the Boots of Guidance. And every Scarlet Angel, Emperor and Little Devil piece in turn only wakes up beside one of those five armors.

So the cheapest line in the hall is the one to buy first. A 480,000,000z halo bought on its own does close to nothing. That 70m is the best zeny you will spend in the room.

A helm fires one bonus block for each set piece worn with it, and the blocks stack, so a helm is only ever worth what its best three partners make it worth. Fully worn:

  • Scarlet Angel Helm + Mithril Armor + Scarlet Angel Wings + Scarlet Angel Ears: +140 ATK, +16 ASPD, +80 HIT, +12 CRIT
  • Little Devil Horns + Grand Gaiters + Little Devil Wings + Little Devil Tail: +175 ATK, +10 ASPD, +90 HIT, +14 CRIT
  • Emperor Helm + Mithril Armor + Scarlet Angel Wings + Scarlet Angel Ears: +100 ATK, +14 ASPD, +45 HIT, +4% MATK

Scarlet is the dearest for two reasons. Six ASPD is sixty amotion, and that is worth more than the thirty-five ATK Little Devil leads by. And Scarlet and Emperor draw on one shared pool of nine partners — either helm takes any of the five armors and any Scarlet or Emperor wing or mid piece, which is exactly how the Emperor Helm reaches +14 ASPD — while the Little Devil Horns accept seven, and two of those are its own wings and tail. A closed set is worth less than an open one.

Every purchase rolls

Gear bought in the Sanctum rolls random options, exactly like gear bought from any other zeny shop. Some copies come out plain, some come out loaded, and buying again rolls again. What a single purchase comes out as:

  • Weapons and body armor, four option slots: 12% plain, 47% Common, 37% Uncommon, 4.4% Rare, 0.1% Legendary.
  • Headgear — helms, wings and mid-slot pieces, three slots: 21% plain, 48% Common, 28% Uncommon, 3.2% Rare, 0.1% Legendary.
  • Boots of Guidance, two slots: 35% plain, 43% Common, 20% Uncommon, 2.1% Rare, 0.1% Legendary.

Boots roll worst because footgear has only two option slots to a weapon's four.

Uncommon or better lands on about 41% of weapon and armor purchases, 32% of headgear and 22% of boots, so most people chasing a good roll buy the same item two or three times. A Rare is the genuine standout at a few percent, and a Legendary is roughly 1 in 1000 and rolls on top of everything else rather than taking a slot off the rest.

How random options work

Why we built it

Zeny needed somewhere to go. The top of the economy has been sitting on stacks of it with nothing left worth buying, while the gear that actually matters was locked behind currencies most players never touch. The Sanctum does both jobs at once: it turns the biggest piles on the server into a sink, and it gives everyone else a plain, honest number to aim at. Farm, sell, save, buy.

We will be watching exactly what it drains. If the numbers say a shelf is mispriced, we will move it and tell you why.

See you in the garden. gl with the rolls, you are going to need it.
