v1.5.0 is live, and Halloween's the headline: a full event with its own siege, a new Royal Treasury split for WoE guilds, and a stack of fixes players have been waiting on. Every change since the last release is below, grouped so you can find your favourites. Grab the patcher before you log in — the card window and a few new icons need it.
Good to know first
- The Veil Thins runs October 22 to November 7 (UTC). The Haunted Siege rises every 6 hours at
01:00, 07:00, 13:00 and 19:00 UTC on the Prontera, Geffen and Payon fields — the Siege Marshal in
Prontera or
@siegegets you there. Six waves of the dead, Haunted Amdarais at the end; every siege you fight in pays 5 Halloween Candy (capped at 4 a day) and kills score guild points, up to 150 a day. On October 31 at 13:00 and 19:00 UTC, Veil Lord Amdarais leads the finale and every kill rolls its drops twice. - WoE: Swanhild takes Hljod's Friday/Saturday/Sunday 06:00 UTC slot. The guild that held Hljod now holds Swanhild instead, with its economy and defence carried over; Hljod starts the new schedule unowned. In Prontera, Swanhild's castle flag moved to Hljod's old cell, and Gondul's flag moved beside the other castles.
- Royal Treasury: guilds now get paid for holding a war castle through the week. Hold a castle at the end of a Friday, Saturday or Sunday session and your guild scores a point; hold it all three earns a bonus. When the week's last session ends, 10% of the Treasury pot splits between the two Prontera war castles and their guilds by points (capped at 10,000,000z per guild) — your guild leader collects it from the Royal Treasury Steward in Prontera.
New content
The Veil Thins
Spend Halloween Candy at the new Veil Peddler in Prontera on limited-edition Halloween costumes and two new rings, the Love Ring and Ring of Hatred — wear both for +10% movement speed. The Haunted Siege can drop the same costumes (1% a siege), and the Osiris finale rolls Beelzebub's Wings of Gluttony and the Diabolic Friend garment. The Veil Brewer in Prontera turns siege materials into a Pumpkin Brew (30 min: Max HP and SP +10%, damage vs Undead and Demon +10%; 25,000z) and a Ghost Lantern (30 min: damage taken from other players -10%; 40,000z). Guild Houses let your guild compete for the best Halloween at the Veil Keeper, and night, falling leaves and Niflheim's music come to Prontera for the event.
The Uber Shop's new Limited Edition section (top of the shop) also sells four Veil boxes until November 7: a Treat Bag of brews (1 Uber), and Costume, Wings and Relic boxes (3, 8 and 12 Ubers).
The Sanctum of Relics
Every gear shop now sits in one hall (reach it with @sanctum or the portals in the Mall centre), all
bought with zeny: Lord Kaho's Horn for 90,000,000z, and the Black Helm and Equality Wings for
180,000,000z each.
Lord Kaho's Servant
Lord Kaho's Servant now sells Lord Kaho's Horn outright for 90,000,000 zeny, tradable, skipping the three-stage quest, its badges, the [Kaho] title and the Conqueror achievement.
Gear, drops and prices
- Random Options now roll on gold headgears, Beithir gear, the Legendary weapons, Badge Exchange and Time Guardian gear, tower and shrine gear, the fishing rod and the Rookie Welcome Kit — two of the same piece can now differ. Costumes never roll.
- Collector Kiki's daily costume prices drop from 750,000,000–1,600,000,000z to 150,000,000– 450,000,000z, reachable within days to weeks of mid-rate play.
- The Royal Market's Provisions stall no longer sells Royal Jelly; it keeps the Yggdrasil Berry and Seed, Bubble Gum and Battle Manual.
- Monkey Fist Card and Bloody Knight Champion Card drops no longer announce to the whole server.
Classes and skills
Crossbow Clan
The Crossbow Clan now gives the DEX +15 it always promised, alongside its AGI +10 — it gave no DEX before this fix.
Full Protection
Full Protection removes Strip Weapon, Strip Shield, Strip Armor and Strip Helm from its target again, and protects every slot — worn or not — for the skill's duration, as it did on XileRetro.
Poem of Bragi
No change: Poem of Bragi works as intended on XileRetro. Its delay cut can't take a skill below the server's 150 ms minimum delay, which is the limit every player feels regardless of class.
Balance changes
- Daily Contracts' third task is now "Slay 100 monsters of level N+", where N is your level minus 15 (clamped 1–60) — not an MVP hunt or arena kills, which were out of reach for newer players. Monster kills (loot, MVP rewards and contract credit) now go to whoever dealt the most damage, not whoever landed the first hit.
- In a WoE castle (Kriemhild, Swanhild) the Yggdrasil Seed now cools down 5 seconds, up from 3. Unchanged everywhere else: 3 seconds outside WoE, 4 seconds in WoE 2.0 castles and PvP; the Yggdrasil Berry stays at 6 seconds (8 in WoE 2.0 castles and PvP).
Fixes and small changes
- The card window's View button shows every card's art again — it errored on nearly all of them before this patch.
- NPCs that point you somewhere now print the exact
@warpcommand in the chat box instead of opening the navigation window, landing you on the cell right in front of the NPC. - WoE Victory Coins and Participation Coins can now be traded, vended, mailed and stored (still not sellable to an NPC).
- The Fantasy Race Stylist lets you revert to human again even while the booth's recolor counter is closed; picking a new race or recoloring still waits for it to reopen.
- The
@helpLeveling menu matches where players actually level now: Ice Dungeon 1 covers 95-255 (was 95-150), Dimik & Venatu advises solid gear from level 225, and new 200+ entries cover Wild Rose (@autoattack), Prontera Maze 3 and Gefenia 1. - A char-server crash from a character name holding an invalid byte is fixed: the name now normalizes instead of getting refused by the database.
