If you tried to log in this evening and got nowhere, we're really sorry. Here's what happened, what we did about it, and a little something to say thanks for sticking with us.
What happened
Just after 18:00 UK time, our network provider, who runs on Cloudflare's network, made a mistake on their side that removed the network connection XileRO runs through. Anyone already in game kept playing, but nobody new could get in. The servers themselves were fine the whole time, so no characters, items or progress were lost.
What we did
Rather than sit and wait on someone else to fix it, we moved XileRO's connection to Amazon Web Services, the same place our servers already live. Your connection now joins Amazon's own global network at the closest point to you, which should feel just as quick, if not quicker.
One thing you need to do: open the XileRO Patcher and let it update before you log in. The patch points your game at our new address. If you still can't connect, run the patcher once more.
Double EXP & Drops, all weekend
As a thank-you for your patience (and the flood of reports on Discord that helped us track it down fast), XileRO is running double rates until Sunday 23:59 UK time:
- Double base and job EXP: 150x becomes 300x
- Double MVP EXP
- Double drops: 10x becomes 20x
- Cards too! Every monster's card chance goes from 1% to 2%, MVPs included
We'll remind you in game every half hour, so you won't lose track of it.
