The February 2024 game update introduces gameplay fairness improvements, expanded guild features, gameplay and item adjustments, enhanced new player experience, skill balancing, and a secure player store, all aimed at creating a more balanced and enjoyable gaming experience.

Game Update Changelog - February 2024

Hello, players! We've been busy implementing new features and making adjustments to improve your gaming experience. Here's a rundown of the latest updates:

General Updates:

  • Introduced a 2-second delay for character disconnection/selection after being hit to enhance gameplay fairness.
  • Launched a Name Change NPC located at moc_para01, 22, 22, allowing up to three-character names, including the use of Latin characters (e.g., †Marky†).
  • Character creation now restricts names to alphabetical letters only for a cleaner and more uniform naming convention.

Guild Enhancements:

  • Expanded guild slots to accommodate 20 members, responding to a suggestion from @dimple Jah Jah.
  • Implemented fixes to prevent guilds from attacking their own KoE emperium after capture.
  • Introduced a change ensuring Woe messages display the player's guild for better recognition in battles.
  • Added a Discord bot to announce the next Woe times, keeping you informed and ready.

Gameplay Adjustments:

  • Adjusted the Emperium health to 26.4 million, thanks to feedback from @Stnc/Jeff.
  • Updated attendance rewards for January and February to enhance player engagement.
  • Reduced the Emergency Call cooldown timer to 3 minutes, allowing for more dynamic gameplay.
  • Fixed issues with the Discord guild point system for 'Cyr' castle, ensuring fair and accurate point allocation.
  • Enabled priests to use sanctuary on the emperium, following a suggestion from @peete.

Item and Shop Additions:

  • Added 50M Gold Coin Item to uber shop 1 uber each
  • Added Name Change Scroll at 3 ubers each.
  • Added Kratos STR Socket Essence (RNG) at 5 ubers each
  • Added Jubata AGI Socket Essence (RNG) at 5 ubers each
  • Added Astraea DEX Socket Essence (RNG) at 5 ubers each
  • Added Udea VIT Socket Essence (RNG) at 5 ubers each
  • Added Coeus INT Socket Essence (RNG) at 5 ubers each
  • Added Fortuna LUK Socket Essence (RNG) at 5 ubers each

New Player Experience:

  • Updated newbie grounds (int_land) to allow for easy warping in and out, ensuring a smoother start for new players.
  • Granted new characters a 'Mount of Reins' for free, empowering you to explore our world with speed and style.
  • Added a newbie-help channel, credit to @mrmonopoly, to assist new players in acclimating to the game environment.
  • Added the @guild command, allowing all players to create new guilds easily.
  • Patch to remove in game pop up messages when you get a PM from a player (that was annoying...)

Skill and Gameplay Balancing:

  • Removed the broken GTB from newbie players to maintain balanced gameplay.
  • Adjusted the Miracle of the Sun, Moon, and Stars skill trigger ratio from 1% to 85%, and made corrections to the Star Gladiator Kihop skill party attack % damages.
  • Tuned Vulcan Arrow damage against monsters by 5% to align with player damage output.
  • Removed the 3-second cooldown from Clown Dance skills, improving skill usability, thanks to @Stnc.

Marketplace Updates:

  • Launched The Secret Orelix Player Store to facilitate safe Real Money Trading (RMT), ensuring a secure transaction environment for all players.
